From a functional perspective: this cage is absolutely incredible. There is no room whatsoever for expansion, keeping me small, compressed and completely helpless. The quality of the build results in unyielding sturdiness. Never a question of the strength keeping my cocklet tamed. I love the solid feel, the crossbars at the tip are so well machined and impenetrable. Yet the Watchful Mistress is very easy to keep clean. The only fault that i can find is that the security screw wants to back out, only so slightly, as its length is a millimeter or two longer than the threaded hole. It is easy to re-set, but kind of unexpected. I haven't told my Goddess about this, though i have zero interest in seeing if i could actually unscrew it. But the security is always there. Nothing has come close in regards to cages I've tried previously. The comfort is astounding. I go to the gym, do tons of outdoor work and activities and barely know it is there. But it is always there. As it should be,The form of this cage is nothing short of pure artistry. The care of the metalsmith is unparalleled. Every aspect is perfect. I love this cage. The wider steel ring keeps my cockhead from ever reaching fullness, it is so well placed, and great looking. SO authoritative.I put this cage on 30 days ago. It has not been off once, not even a minute. The comfort is striking and so welcomed. The artists at Mature Metal surely put their heart into their work, but they also demonstrate wonderful customer service, and excellent communication. Don't think twice, buy the best and you'll never look back, as you live in chastity forever.

If you feel that the cost of one of these chastity devices it just too much, please read on. When I read all the reviews on the cb-xxxx they seem to break. You will not break a ‘Mature Metal’ device. I wore a high-end plastic device for a year. I am thankful I could adjust the device because it would change shape. A ‘Mature Metal’ device will not change its shape. I am one of those that are kept in chastity always and will do just about anything to slip out at least enough to find some relief, that is why I now wear a ‘Mature Metal’ device. It is a must to make sure it fits properly, but that is true with any device. All that said, this device is hand crafted and when you get one, you will see that the craftsmanship is amazing. I now wish I would have spent the extra money to get an all steel ‘Mature Metal’ device in the first-place period.

Purchased the watchful mistress a while back, had used for months but was able to pull out the back and sneak an orgasm. After contacting mature metal and asking for ways to fix this problem, they were very helpful and it was determined to go with smaller ring size. Now even if I did get it out which would be difficult at best, I would not be able to get it back in and would be caught by my key holder. I can not say enough for the level of customer service!!!

Before talking about the device itself, we'd like to appreciate the people and the service.

CUSTOMER CARE
We had many questions before upgrading from a CB6000, which also included the introduction of a Prince Albert piercing for him. Mistress MM answered all of our questions succinctly, professionally, and VERY promptly, replying to emails often within just a few hours.

THE TRIALS OF CUSTOM WORK:
We were prepared to accept the long build time, hoping to appreciate the extra care they were putting into our Watchful Mistress. As we said, we required extra custom work on top of the build itself, to accommodate the Prince Albert. Nevertheless, we read the "6-8 Weeks" lead time rather dubiously, as in our experience, "6-8 Weeks" online usually means "9 1/2 weeks. if you're lucky. Maybe we plumb forgot about you." NOT SO. We were delighted and stunned to find his cage was in our mailbox at EXACTLY the 6-week mark.

THE DEVICE
Is breathtaking. Stunning. It is a testament to true handmade artisanship and speaks to the pride and skill of the artist. If you've tried the plastic CB devices (or god forbid, one of those terrible silicon ones) you might think that it's normal for a device to literally FALL APART, to have to file and sad down razor-sharp edges, etc. Mature Metal Steel laughs at these problems by providing perfection right out of the red velvet bag.
As a brand-new key holder, she was a bit trepidatious about this new device, and the barely healed piercing, and it sat on the night-stand for the first night, absorbing our admiration and excitement. He was ordered to put it on immediately upon arriving at work, send pictures as proof, and allowed to (temporarily, obviously) keep the keys against any unforeseen complications, until he felt comfortable enough to surrender them. Immediately afterward, we enjoyed a trip out into the woods, so posting this review was delayed by several days.

THE FIT
Gentlemen, do not let pride get in the way. Also, as suggested, take many measurements over a period of several days. Even without pride, the beginning measurements will still be skewed high, as most men are completely unaware of what their flaccid size is, and the act of measuring will often begin to inflate the member to an incorrect measurement.

On "slipping out" or cheating: first of all, if you have decided to wear one of these, why would you bother trying to escape? And secondly, he does not understand the urban legends about how easy it is to "slip out" of devices like this. Playing with other devices, it seems to us that it's only possible if the device a) does not fit properly; (so measure properly and your Watchful Mistress will work) b) It requires TONS of lube, and c) you have to deal with quite a lot of pain to even get close to coming out...he's never managed to get all the way out of a properly fitting plastic one, and d) you have to solve the problem of finding a way back in. And a great big followup, unrelated: even if the sub is at all hesitant, make him get a P.A.! Ten out of ten would recommend. We PROMISE he will thank you for making him go through it. It really truly does not hurt, (He has NO machismo, he's not posturing, it really does not hurt) and goes very well with MM's superb devices.

Clank, click, click, clank. The lock in the old plastic device would click and clank just from tip-toeing down the hall. We had to get creative with tape or rubber bands for public and work, and for jogging (don't make him list all the problems with exercising in the CB...) Aside from a tiny and somewhat enjoyable click of the Prince Albert on the front bar, the dancing padlock is not a problem. The receiving hole in this device could not mathematically be more perfect. The lock goes in quite snugly and sits properly sideways exactly where it belongs. It will move if you move it deliberately, but not before.

To continue the story from above:
So stunned and elated was he by the exactness of fit, the amazing comfort of the device, and the peace that came with finally being locked up after so long (for the piercing to heal) that he calmly and confidently delivered the keys to her on his way back from the bathroom to his office (We work in the same building). Although we realized that we hadn't provided any measurements regarding the placement, etc of the piercing, we discovered immediately that it fits precisely where it needs to, regardless of temperature or contained state of arousal. Contrary-wise, the piercing without the cage would sometimes flip around and press against his underwear at an odd and uncomfortable angle; this cage, instead of being a concern about how it will interact with the new jewelry, became rather more helpful, as the piercing does not migrate uncomfortably while in the cage. This device does not shift or pinch even a little bit under ANY circumstances, and has GREATLY increased the quality of life for both of us, in more ways than we have time to enumerate.

MEDIUM BLUNT PIN:
He actually kinda likes this one. It's much like her finger, gently adding a tiny bit of tease, unrelenting, continuously increasing in intensity with time. A short while is just a slightly aggravating tease, but we all know what a tiny bit of teasing can do if sustained indefinitely...
MEDIUM CROSS-CUT PIN:
This one mixes a bit more punishment with the pleasure/tease. He describes the sensation as much like the continuous dragging of a fingernail across that sensitive place on the penis head. It's quite unassuming at first, but the intensity grows quickly. Caution: this one is quite abrasive and can come close to blistering any longer than about two hours.
MEDIUM SPIKE:
This one does not mix any tease or pleasure with the punishment. Gentlemen: when your Keyholder says x-behavior bears the spike as consequence: DO NOT SOLVE FOR X! Even completely flaccid, this spike is NOT NICE, and may the Gods help you if she teases you to what could almost pass for an erection as allowed in this cage. Ladies: please be conscious of your sub, and play safe, but we can promise you'll enjoy watching the squirming beggar he becomes when this is installed.

PRICE:
If you're hesitating because of the price, stop doing that. For one thing, the artists at Mature Metal can and should get away with charging far more than they do for such fine work. Several of their competitors do, in fact, charge much more. Custom steel is a big deal; this is an investment in your future, and well worth every penny and its friends. (If you're curious, go look up the kind of obstacles they have to overcome by using such high-quality metal, this is not just a chop'n'weld you could do in a body shop)

* He had a laundry list of potential concerns, based on his experience from the inside of the CB6000. They were ALL checked off as irrelevant and do not apply to this device whatsoever.
* The only regret we have is that we did not get the security screw option at build time; we absolutely will when we order our next one (probably a Jailbird) and send this one back for the screw option when we have the new one in hand.
* We will also likely order the larger Punishment Pins next time. While they are quite awesome, we feel that the larger ones will be more unforgiving, and look forward to that.

I have a Watchful Mistress that is a testament to custom manufacturing. It does cost more, but for most, it's the only way.

My WM is as short as possible and has a cage diameter of 1-3/4 inch. Yeah, and it does fit very well. Try getting that off the shelf- not gonna happen.

I have noted that, in my case, my shaft is enclosed in steel with little to no slack space between wall and shaft skin. This is a real erection killer- it seems my penis needs to swell a bit in order to lengthen. I can't hit the cage end hard at all, no matter what. Delicious.

That same light steel grip (I use grip as a quick word; there is no actual squeeze when flaccid; nor should there be) makes it impossible to masturbate. I fight pullout with the sulcus ring trick... which works for me... no relief.

I did get the double base ring- other devices leave me with pressure marks that I just can't tolerate even though the ring diameter is correct by the 'finger test.' The combination of doubling and being ovoid shaped left me with an adjustment period of irritation at the lower arc of the ring- and then all is well. This is the first device I've really been able to use beyond a few days with real comfort. And no nasty surprises as to how bad it really was upon device removal.

I also got the security screw option- what a relief to be rid of an unsightly, clumsy, pick-able lock banging away... it's so much better.

When you are advised to go as short as feasible and to go with a cage diameter that is just touching the shaft- well, it works, folks. Nocturnal erections and the 'puffies' aren't a problem with these sizing guidelines made incarnate- the former just doesn't happen, at all, so there is no edema, either. I'm impressed as to how well this kind of thing can work, having tried lots of variations on the theme before and having had no real, satisfying success.

I should wrap up with a word about the build quality- yes, it takes time, but MM does excel with this.

A final word- if you are going short, note that the end bars will arc forward about 7/8 inch, not 1/2 inch. This isn't a problem if you are expecting it. In my case, my 1-1/2 inch cage length spec means the cage is not 1-1/2 inch; it's just a touch longer. It still works boffo- but this is for those who want all the sordid details.

Well after many measurements and emails with the very helpful MM staff, I finally placed my order for the Watchful Mistress. What a great fit and a better investment. I have owned many chastity devices before and this one is way above the rest. I have been wearing it 24/7 for 28 days now and it is so comfortable!!! Hopefully, my Mistress will let me out soon, but She is thinking at least a couple of months, oh well wouldn't want to be in any other device if that's the case. Best advice is to take your time measuring and don't let your pride get in the way if you know what I mean.

I have been wearing the Watchful Mistress for around a week now. Previously I had one of the high-end plastic ones which worked well, but I could sneak out of it. With the Watchful Mistress, I've found the comfort to be there and I haven't found a way out using the blunt pin, even without it I don't think there's a way out.
Definitely better device than the mass-produced plastic ones. If you're serious about chastity this is the way to go!

My Mistress and I finally have committed to permanent chastity for me after years of "playing" with the idea. During that time we were using the Jailbird, which is very comfortable and everything the other reviewers on here says it is. The lock, however, became an uncomfortable hassle once we moved onto permanent chastity. After 53 straight days locked up, the lock became wearisome. Because of this, I returned to MM for my next device so I could get the security option screw. I also was told by my Mistress/Wife to purchase the Watchful Mistress style so much more of me would be covered. Also, I was told to order it a half inch shorter. Well, I received it yesterday and it is PERFECT!!! It fits like a glove, and without the lock, I barely notice it is on until I start to get hard. With the shortened size I honestly can't grow at all from my normal shrunken flaccid state. If you are considering this lifestyle MM is the only way to go. Incredible craftsmanship along with people who really do care. If you are getting into permanent lockup...PLEASE consider the security screw. I has made a world of difference for me.

We fooled around with the plastic and silicone devices and they always came off so I thought there was little risk in ordering the Watchful Mistress. We got the locking option plus security screw. As days melted into weeks and weeks into months, I have been left to ponder my Mistress' genius in allowing me to fall into this trap. Meanwhile, MM has been wonderful about refitting and miscellaneous questions to ensure that I never escape! I highly recommend this workmanship and an unparalleled level of service! I am so caged, for better or worse!
